PerahuApp: Technological Solution for Sustainable Fisheries

The PerahuApp is a game-changer for Indonesian fishers, addressing several critical challenges within the fishing industry. By integrating catch information (fishing grounds, gear, landing data) with economic records (fisher-to-buyer transactions), the app provides a comprehensive overview of fishing activities. This data is crucial for ensuring compliance with global market requirements for traceability, allowing fishers to secure a fair value for their catch.

By tracking business operations, PerahuApp provides a financial record that fishers can use to access bank loans and government grants, further enhancing their financial stability. Moreover, the app plays a vital role in combating Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated (IUU) fishing by promoting transparency and traceability within the supply chain.
